Study in France
Public universities and specialised schools with routes into business, science, engineering and design.
Why students choose France
Public fee schedules and institutional exemptions can change the cost substantially for non-EU applicants.
English-taught programmes are available, especially at master’s level; French remains valuable for internships and career development.

Tuition & living costs
Country-guide monthly living reference; Paris and expensive housing can cost more. The current guide does not establish a new 2026 statistical average.
Part-time work & careers
Usually up to 964 hours / year
Most non-EU student residence holders may work up to 964 hours per year, rather than a simple unrestricted weekly allowance. Algerian nationals have different rules. Study status, employer formalities and permit conditions still apply.
After your degree
Eligible holders of a French master’s or equivalent, or a licence professionnelle, can apply for the one-year job-search/business-creation route. Nationality agreements can provide different arrangements. A general bachelor’s degree does not automatically qualify.
