Typical living reference / month · SEK SEK 10,656 Housing and daily expenses depend on the city and your choices.

Part-time work & careers

New permits: 15 hours / week in semester

For bachelor’s and master’s study permits decided from 11 June 2026, the semester cap is 15 hours weekly; June, July and August are unrestricted under this rule. Certain university-linked work is exempt. Permits decided before that date retain the earlier rule until extension. Do not use older “no limit” guidance for a new application.

After your degree

Eligible bachelor’s/master’s graduates may apply for up to one year to look for work or investigate starting a business. Doctoral graduates have a different duration framework. Maintenance, insurance and completion conditions apply.
