Why students choose Singapore

You can study in a setting where finance, logistics and technology operate within one highly connected city.

Research-led universities and specialised providers offer distinct routes; compare the institution as carefully as the country.

English-medium teaching is common, but fee subsidies and work permissions depend on the institution and your status.

What these tuition figures cover2026/27 planning ranges from selected official schedules, not national averages. UG covers non-clinical autonomous-university degrees without the MOE Tuition Grant. Eligible non-ASEAN international students with a grant pay about SGD 21,400–32,000 a year across the reviewed courses and normally accept a three-year Singapore-entity employment obligation. Grants are not guaranteed. PG covers the complete self-funded taught master’s programme, not one year. Research, subsidised, medical, dental, music and premium courses can differ. The reviewed Singapore rates include 9% GST; compulsory miscellaneous fees and living costs are additional.

Part-time work & careers

16 hours / week at eligible institutions

Student’s Pass holders studying full-time at an institution on MOM’s eligible list may work up to 16 hours a week during term, or undertake qualifying course-linked industrial attachments. Vacation permissions have their own conditions. A Student’s Pass at every private provider does not automatically allow work. Exchange students are not covered by this work exemption.

After your degree

Graduates from eligible Institutes of Higher Learning may apply for an ICA Long-Term Visit Pass to seek employment. This pass is not itself permission to work: an appropriate MOM work pass is needed for employment.
