Vilnius and Kaunas offer distinct institution choices and links to technology and engineering.
Study in Lithuania
Baltic university cities with opportunities to explore technology, business and life sciences.
Why students choose Lithuania
Published entry-level fees can be relatively accessible, but a minimum fee says little about the price of a specific course.
English-taught degrees can be paired with language learning to improve local integration and work options.

Tuition & living costs
A national-level guide updated in March 2026 estimates EUR 500–800 monthly for accommodation, food, materials, transport and personal spending. Private housing in larger cities can change the total.
Part-time work & careers
New permits: 20 / 40-hour tiered rules
For new authorisations from 22 May 2026, first- and second-year bachelor’s students are generally limited to 20 hours weekly; later bachelor’s years, master’s and doctoral study can follow the 40-hour rule. Holidays and required placements have exceptions. Older permissions may differ: check your permit date and category.
After your degree
Eligible graduates can apply for a 12-month residence period to seek employment or begin self-employment. It requires an application and compliance with the residence conditions.
